High Excitement
Gary Cooper plays a sherriff in a small town who has one last battle looming over his head, at noon. This film is beautifully shot and superbly acted in a sort of real-time. You are with the characters during the two hours before the gun-fight at high noon. The tense only grows as the hour comes nearer. If ever there was a sympathetic cowboy, it had to have been Gary Cooper from Montana. You won't be disappointed with this movie and it is a movie you can return to time and again.

楽しめました
この映画でゲーリー・クーパー演じる保安官の妻役を務めたのは間もないグレイス・ケリー。当初、クーパーと年齢差がありすぎて、適役ではないと評されたそうですが、そのような声を跳ね返すように、とっさに夫の危機を救う若妻を上手く演じています。自分はクーパーより、あまり出番はなかったけど輝きを見せた若いグレイス・ケリーの方が印象に残りました。西部劇としても楽しめましたが。
